NBA experience: 20 seasons, currently in his 21st NBA season.
Born: January 17, 1955 (Philadelphia, PA)
Resides: Blue Bell, PA
HS: LaSalle (Philadelphia, PA)
College: Temple University '76

  • Officiated 1,264 regular season, 190 playoff, and 18 NBA Finals games.
  • Officiated the 1995 NBA All-Star Game as well as the 1993 Europe Tour in London, England.
  • Five years of high school officiating experience in Pennsylvania.
  • Played minor league baseball in the Baltimore Orioles organization and umpired in the Florida State League.
  • Played baseball at Temple University, and football, basketball at LaSalle High School, earning All-League honors in baseball and basketball.
  • Raises money for the homeless, the disabled, abused and neglected children through the Javie Foundation for Charity.
  • His father, Stan, was a NFL official for 30 years and officiated four Super Bowls.
  • His godfather, Johnny Stevens, was am American League Umpire for 25 years and worked in multiple World Series games.
  • Interests include golf, cooking, reading and relaxing at the New Jersey shore.
