NBA experience: 20 season, currently in his 21st NBA season; Has officiated 1,141 regular season games, 79 playoff games, including two Finals games.
Born: June 4, 1943 (Dallas, TX)
Resides: Austin, TX
HS: Hillcrest (Dallas. TX)
College: University of Texas '66

  • Officiated the 2003 NBA All-Star Game.
  • Officiated the 1996 Mexico Challenge as well as the 1999 Japan Opening Games in Tokyo.
  • Worked as official in the ABA from 1970-74.
  • Nine years of collegiate officiating experience in the Pac-10, Western Athletic, Southwest, Big Sky and Big West Conferences, as well as the 1984 NCAA Tournament Championship.
  • Postseason collegiate officiating experience includes nine NCAA Tournaments, two Pac-10 Finals, four WAC Championships and four Big West Finals.
  • Three-year letterman in basketball as well as baseball at Texas and was a member of five Southwest Conference championship teams.
  • Earned 12 letters in high school and All-State honors in basketball and baseball.
  • Hobbies include golf, reading, outdoor activities and spending time with his four sons.
